From the airport take the A960 to Kirkwall. Follow the A964 to Orphir (8miles). Swanbister is sign posted on the left, a mile or so after the John Deere dealership, before you reach the Orphir village.
From Stromness take the A965 towards Kirkwall for two miles. Turn right at the sign for Orphir, (just after crossing a small bridge), then take the A964 for 7 miles, to just beyond the Orphir village. Swanbister is sign posted on the right.
